Homemade
transmitter (translated version)
Introduction:
Building
up a transmitter is very good and small technological exploration, and the
principle is very simple. The two dry batteries are connected in series with a
push button switch and an electromagnet.
Aim:
1.
To let the students know the names and characteristics of the electric
elements.
2.
To help the students to understand the meaning of Morse Code.
3.
Through this experiment, to train the practical ability of the students in
order to be able to complete the project independently.
4.
Through this experiment, to train the students’ ability in observation, logical
thinking and reasoning.
Principle:
Sending
telegram is one type of telecommunication service. It was invented by the
American painter and telegraph inventor Mr. Morse. It was the earliest method
to help humans to communicate with each other through electricity. It use
Current (wire), electromagnetic wave (wireless) to fulfill the long distance
communicate and exchange the messages through Morse Code and interactively
electric skill.

Planning:
We
know that the telegram sends information by the length of the two sounds (or
signals) of "Di" and "Da". And our small transmitter,
according to the sound interval between the two collisions of the iron piece,
can distinguish the long or short sound, so as to achieve the purpose of
sending information.
Brainstorming:
Do
you know how the transmitter sends the telegram and how the receiver does
receive the telegram?
