Emptiness (Chinese Philosophy)

 
Jin1 ye3 kong1, yin2 ye3 kong1,
  金  也    空，   银    也     空，
Gold is empty, silver also empty

 si3 hou4 he2 ceng2 zai4 shou3 zhong1.,
死    后   何     曾     在     手        中。
No gold and silver in our hand after our death.

qi1 ye3 kong1, zi3 ye3 kong1,
妻    也    空，  子   也    空，   
The wife is empty, the child also empty,

huang2 quan2 lu4 shang4 bu4 xiang1 feng2. 
黄        泉     路    上      不     相       逢。
We do not meet them on the way to heaven.

 tian2 ye3 kong1, di4 ye3 kong1,
 田   也   空，地  也  空，
The field is empty, land also empty, 

 huan4 guo4 dou1  shao3  zhu3 ren2 weng1.
換    過  多   少   主  人  翁。。
The owners of the field and land have been changed by times.

 ming2 ye3 kon1g, li4 ye3 kong1,
名        也      空，利   也      空，
The reputation is empty, money also empty,

 zhuan3 yan3 huang1 Jiao1 tu3 yi1 feng1.
转         眼     荒      郊     土   一   封。
 Both of them have gone by a blink after our burial.
